Q: Am I better off repairing or replacing my existing Intercom System?
A: The answer would depend on the age and condition of your system and the severity of the damage. For a basic, common repair such as replacing your door station that no longer works, this is a relatively inexpensive repair and would make sense to repair rather than replace the entire system. Unfortunately parts for more entailed repairs may no longer be available for your system and may necessitate the
replacing and updating of your intercom system.
If you are remodeling or plan on selling your home, an updated Intercom System makes more sense as well. A home with an updated intercon System with Bluetooth Capability becomes a Sales Feature rather than a non-working system which becomes a liability and may negate the sale of your home.
If your system is excessively old, has heavy wear and tear, has had lightning damage,
or is just plain ugly, it may be time to update!
Q: Can I replace just the Master Station in the Kitchen without having to replace the Room, Patio and Door Stations?
A: Unfortunately no, systems from different manufactures are not compatible and would require a complete upgrade and replacement of all devices in the system.
Q: will the new system fit in the openings as my current intercom system?
A: Yes, in the great majority of instances (probably about 98% of the time)with the use of custom designed trim plates from the manufacture the new units will cover the existing opening without the need for patching and painting. The Trim Plates were designed to cover openings
from 4 different manufactures going back about 50 years.
Q: Is Bluetooth Capability available on the new Intrasonic Intercom Systems?
A: YES!! Yes, Bluetooth Capability is now available on the new Intrasonic Intercom Systems.
This Feature allows you to play music wirelessly from your Bluetooth enabled device, such as your smartphone, I-Pad, Tablet, Alex device, Laptop and some Desktop Computers.
This gives you access to music you have stored on those devices as well as any Music Apps you may have on them as well such as I-Heart Radio, Spotify, Pandora, Tune-In, Sirrus Radio, Etc. It's a whole world of music, radio shows, and Podcasts playable through your New Intrasonic Intercom System.
If you have Alexa Devices in your home you can also use verbal commands, such as
Alexa play 96.3 or Alexa play my Playlist.
Q: Will the new Intrasonic Intercom System work with my Existin Wiring?
A: Yes, the Intrasonic System only requires 3 wires to operate making it compatible with vertually every existing music intercom system ever made.
Q:Are there Color options for the new Intrasonic system?
A: Yes, 3 colors are available: White, Almond or Black. The same colors are also available for the room stations and you can mix and match them to match the rooms decor that they are in, a good rule of thumb is to match the room station color to the light switches or door trim that they may be located next to. If you have a dark wood paneled room , black usually well.
There are several choices avilable for the Door Station finish, they include,
White, Black, Oiled Bronze, Antique Gold and Nickle.
Q: How long does it take to replace my Intercom System?
A: Times vary depending on the size and complexity of the existing system. Most new systems are installed in a single day. Most systems require 5-7 hours to complete. In the case of re-models that require 2 trips to the home or very large systems times are extended.
Q: Do the new Intrasonic Intercom Systems come with a warranty?
A: Yes, a two year parts and labor warranty comes standard for all new Intrasonic items installed.
Q: What forms of Payment does TMC TechPoint Inc. accept?
A: Cash, Checks (no third party), as well as Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express
or any combination of the above.
Q: Does TMC TechPoint Inc. Require a payment prior to begining work?
A: Yes, TMC TechPoint requires a 1/2 down payment at acceptance of quote before scheduling of installation and work can begin. The balance of the payment is due the day of your installation at jobs completion.
